The inevitable is still the inevitable. The end is nigh…
Last week was bizarre. The week before, I started preparing several new blog posts. (remember, I’m back!) We did our normal normal raiding week, killed some new bosses and were working on getting Will HC down. Oh and I picked a fancy new transmog, too.
Then the inevitable disaster happened. We lost 2 raiders. The next day we lost our GM and subsequently the guild and team folded. I logged into game after reading the “end” post on our guild forums, I found this guild message.
So there I was again, 5 months later and team-less again in the EU. So, last week I was a bit of a sad panda. But I brushed myself off, updated my wowprogress profile, and created a thread on the official wow forums to see if anyone was looking for a healbot like myself.
Low and behold I had plenty of choice, I had a few chats with more than a few guilds to see what would fit the best. Spent a good 48 hours just researching.
So last Monday I sat drinking my rooibos tea competing in some epic pet battles I thought even deeper about what I want out of this game at this point. I’ve been a raid leader, guild leader, played 3 different healers in both 10 and 25 man teams. I started as Alliance in TBC, moved to Horde and raided hardcore in Wrath. But for the past probably 4 years I’ve been focused on 10 man raiding – and for the past 5 months been raiding with a team who’s average age was way less than me. (this isn’t a bad thing, just an observation)
Then I dawned on me… This was less of a sad moment and more of a happy moment for me. This is the chance for me to change, go back to my roots. And that meant that I had made my choice of a guild. I decided to take the leap and go back to both 25-man raiding AND Alliance! So off I went on Wednesday to a new server.
The Sha’Tar EU
/wave hai new server and guildies!
AND I’M A HUMAN AGAIN!
I joined a guild called Obscure (we’re recruiting still HINT HINT), with good progress and a 25 man raiding team and a mature atmosphere. Just what the doctor ordered.
Now, I’m busy farming up my missing rare pets (it’s a RP server and so far all the pets are up hehehe) and re-building my wardrobe of transmog gear to fit nicely for a human female.
Tonight is my first raid with them – hopefully a kill of Zor’lok heroic then heading to Un’sok heroic. Really looking forward to getting know my new teammates!

Well hai there! I’ve stumbled across your blog as I was looking for transmorgs for my Paladin.
What happened to you sounds like what happened to me! I lost 2 core raiders from my team… but we went 25m :P
I usually only lurk in your blog but seeing you ended up on my server let me say “Hello and welcome to Sha’tar!”
