First Impressions of Patch 4.3

Recently I made another guild movie for my guild, Cold Fusion. I tend to do that after every  major tier, so I’m happy to share!  This is our latest — from Firelands to Dragon Soul. Check it out and enjoy it

Patch 4.3 is here!

Dragon Soul is officially upon us! We have plenty of blogs out there directing you about what you should do next as a “insert your class here”, but I’m happy to share my simplified list of what I did first thing on patch night.

Let’s get started!

• Update my addons to the latest versions (can I haz an update to realui plix?).

• Change out my glyphs. As a 10 man raider, I threw in LoD glyph it’s some kind of hotness now.

• Put LoD back on my bar and replaced it with Judgement – and got a hang of my sexy AOE healing rotation now: HR > HR> HR> LoD or if tank healing still I used HR p on the tank when I had the cast time reduction proc.

• Smacked myself every time I tried to use my <instant>Holy Radiance to “move faster” …. Oo

• Change my Power Aura codes so I dont try to judge every 6 seconds! Instead I have a nice big ol phat aura in my face and annoying audio sound whenever Judgements of the Pure buff falls off. Here it is:

• FUCKING HELL HR has a cast time… damnit! Have to remember this

• STOP JUDGING. I just can’t stop It’s like hard-wired in my brain still and it’s going to take some time to unnoob myself from this. For now? I switched my judgement and Light of Dawn on my bars, at least now when I think I’m going to judge by accident I am healing people lol.

• Know that fancy new Holy Radiance we have? Yeah that. It’s targettable now so make sure don’t cast Holy Radiance twice in a row on the same player. This will ensure that you don’t lose any ticks. You can also cast it on yourself, I was doing this during raids this week and squeeeeeeed in gleee nowt hat it’s targettable. Cast HR on tank (melee) > HS on tank > Cast HR on myself > 3 charge LoD on group = the hotness.

• I’m testing out the Holy Shock glyph also – for more proc’s of Infusion of Light. That’s yummy!

• For AoE heavy fights, I’m using Glyph of Divine Favor now and lining it up to use with Holy Radiance, it’s definitely more fun than I thought it would be.

• Also, I transmog’d my helm with this…. Lightbringer Greathelm

Then we stepped into Dragon Soul, took down 4 bosses on raid day 1, and another on raid day 2. That leaves us 5/8 and tonight is our last raid day of the week (aiming for 2 more down tonight). I’ll give you a run down on the bosses on 10 normal in my next article! Stay tuned
